Philadelphia favorite Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra returns alongside iconic trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis to start 2024 off with a bang on January 21 in Verizon Hall. This concert is a Centennial Celebration of the innovative drummer and bandleader, Max Roach, who utilized music to address racial, political, and social issues of his time.

Denoted as “one of the finest piano players to emerge in decades”, the multifaceted Emmet Cohen comes to the Perelman Theater on March 14. With accolades from the international jazz community and beyond under his belt, Cohen’s fluid technique and innovative tonal palette makes him a vibrant solo performer. His passion and extensive repertoire will make this an unforgettable performance for all jazz lovers.

Blow’s powerful memoir, Blanchard dives into the challenges and repressions Blow encountered during his early life in rural Louisiana, with lyrics by NAACP Image Award-winning actress, director, and screenwriter Kasi Lemmons.

Who doesn’t love a dynamic duo? Legendary trumpeter Herb Alpert and vocalist Lani Hall come together to complete their North American tour on May 18 at the Perelman Theater.
