KIMMEL CULTURAL CAMPUS PRESENTS BRIT FLOYD: 50 YEARS OF DARK SIDE, AN INCREDIBLE STATE OF THE ART CELEBRATION OF PINK FLOYD’S ICONIC ALBUM, NOVEMBER 4, 2023

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (September 21, 2023) The Kimmel Cultural Campus presents the return of Brit Floyd, the widely regarded Pink Floyd tribute band, as they celebrate 50 Years of Dark Side at the Campus’ Miller Theater on November 4, 2023, at 7:30 p.m.

Brit Floyd has become a phenomenon, widely regarded as the world’s greatest rock tribute show. The group returns to the stage to perform a brand-new production celebrating 50 years of the ground-breaking and iconic musical masterpiece The Dark Side of the Moon, with new animation, lasers, and a dazzling light show. The tour will feature classic tracks from the album such as “Time,” “Money,” “Us and Them,” and “The Great Gig in the Sky.” The set list will also include highlights from Pink Floyd’s magnificent catalogue of albums, including tracks from The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Division Bell, Medal, and much more.

“Known as the ‘World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Tribute Show,’ this is not just a concert; it's a journey through the echelons of Pink Floyd's legendary music,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming & Presentations on the Kimmel Cultural Campus. “With a loyal fanbase and ageless songs, it’s a not-to-be-missed experience five decades in the making.”

Taking the stage to perform note-for-note renditions of all these classic Pink Floyd tracks is the band of musicians audiences have become familiar with worldwide over the years, including longtime guitarist/vocalist and musical director Damian Darlington, who played over 2,500 Pink Floyd-related concerts throughout his career. The band also includes Ian Cattell, Edo Scordo, Eva Avila, and the other expert musicians who have joined the ranks of Brit Floyd over the course of the last decade.

Other featured upcoming performances on the Kimmel Cultural Campus include Loreena McKennitt: The Visit Revisited 30th Anniversary Tour (October 20, 2023, Miller Theater); The Moth Mainstage (October 21, 2023, Miller Theater); A Tribute to Jerry Blavat (October 21, 2023, Academy of Music); Golden Girls – The Laughs Continue (October 27 – 28, 2023, Miller Theater); Rumours of Fleetwood Mac (November 7, 2023, Miller Theater) and Samara Joy: A Joyful Holiday (December 22, 2023, Miller Theater).
