KIMMEL CULTURAL CAMPUS PRESENTS COMEDIAN, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, WRITER, AND ACTRESS EXTRAORDINAIRE, ILANA GLAZER IN ILANA GLAZER LIVE!NOVEMBER 2, 2023

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (September 21, 2023) – The Kimmel Cultural Campus, in association with Live Nation, presents Ilana Glazer Live! at the Miller Theater on November 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. One half of the dynamic duo that brought the cult hit show Broad City to the world, the comedian, director, producer, writer, and actress (yep, she’s a quintuple threat), Ilana Glazer, comes to the Kimmel Cultural Campus for a night of raunchy, quick-as-lightning humor you won’t want to miss.

“Ilana Glazer is a tour-de-force,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming & Presentations on the Kimmel Cultural Campus. “With a spectacular blend of wit, insight, and comedic brilliance, she joins our incredible lineup of comedians this season, from Eddie Izzard to Steve Martin & Martin Short, David Spade to the magic of Golden Girls – The Laughs Continue.”

Glazer is a comedian who co-created and co-starred in the critically acclaimed Comedy Central series Broad City alongside Abbi Jacobson. Broad City was developed from Glazer and Jacobson’s independent web series of the same name and aired for five seasons from 2014 to 2019. The show received critical acclaim and has been ranked among the best television shows of the 2010s. For her role in Broad City, Glazer received two Critics’ Choice Awards nominations for Best Actress.

In 2020, Glazer’s debut stand-up comedy special, The Planet Is Burning, aired on Amazon Prime. She starred in the Apple TV+ series, The Afterparty, alongside an incredible ensemble of comedians including Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, Zoe Chao, and Ben Schwartz.

Glazer then went on to serve as a producer for the Broadway show A Strange Loop, which won the Tony® Award for Best Musical in 2022. Most recently, she starred in the Hulu film, False Positive, which she co-wrote and executive produced.

Glazer is also the co-founder of the non-profit Generator Collective, which was founded in 2016. Generator Collective defines minimal civic engagement and aims to humanize policy through people-powered stories on social media.

Other featured upcoming performances on the Kimmel Cultural Campus include Tony Hinchcliffe: Fully Groan Tour (September 29, 2023, Miller Theater); Aunty Donna: The Magical Dead Cat Tour (October 7, 2023, Perelman Theater); My Brother, My Brother and Me – The Twenty Sun + Sea Tour (October 11, 2023, Miller Theater); Nurse Blake: Shock Advised Tour (October 14, 2023, Miller Theater); The Moth Mainstage (October 21, 2023, Miller Theater); An Evening with the Late John Cleese (October 25, 2023, Academy of Music); Steve Martin & Martin Short: You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today! (October 27, 2023, Academy of Music); Golden Girls – The Laughs Continue (October 27 – 28, 2023, Miller Theater); The Wait Wait Stand Up Tour (November 10, 2023, Miller Theater); Jimmy Carr: Terribly Funny (November 11, 2023, Miller Theater); Lauren Graham: Have I Told You This Already? (November 16, 2023, Perelman Theater) and David Spade: Catch Me Inside (December 2, 2023, Miller Theater).
