KIMMEL CULTURAL CAMPUS PRESENTS POWERHOUSE COMEDIAN, WRITER, AND ACTRESS, FORTUNE FEIMSTER, ON HER NEW LIVE LAUGH LOVE! TOURFEBRUARY 17, 2024

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (December 14, 2023) – The Kimmel Cultural Campus, in association with Outback Presents, welcomes standup comedian, writer, and actor, Fortune Feimster, and her new Live Laugh Love! Tour to the Miller Theater on February 17, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. Through laughter and confessional storytelling, Feimster shows audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations that common ground is only a joke or two away. Affable, charismatic, and one of a kind, she has been building an innovative, inclusive, and unique career for more than 20 years. Be it on the road, her radio show, film, or television, her contagious and joyous comedy is touching lives and bringing us together daily.

“Fortune Feimster is a powerhouse of comedy and doesn't shy away from entertaining crowds with stories of personal triumphs, vulnerabilities, and lighthearted blunders,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming & Presentations on the Kimmel Cultural Campus. “Her infectious energy and side-splitting humor make her a wonderful addition to our 2024 comedy lineup, alongside Vir Das, KevOnStage & That Chick Angel, plus the family-friendly Mrs. Doubtfire featuring everyone’s favorite nanny.”

Viewers really got to know Feimster through her first Netflix special, Sweet & Salty, which was nominated for a Critics Choice Award. With her last special, Good Fortune, and her Live Laugh Love Tour, she expands further into her storytelling brand of comedy, hilariously delving into love, relationships, sexuality, and shared experiences with Southern charm and the perspective of someone who grew up in the 1980s.

In addition to bringing her comedy to fans across the world with her new tour, Feimster returned to Netflix on May 25 with the release of action-comedy series, FUBAR, alongside actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Just renewed for a second season, the series was number 1 on Netflix around the world for its first 10 days of release and topped 100 million views in less than a week. Feimster can also currently be heard every morning on Sirius XM with Tom Papa on Netflix’s What A Joke with Papa and Fortune radio show. She also hosts a weekly podcast with her wife, Jax, called Sincerely Fortune.

Other featured upcoming performances on the Kimmel Cultural Campus include A Very Philly Christmas (December 1 – 23, 2023, Verizon Hall); Samara Joy: A Joyful Holiday Featuring The McLendon Family (December 22, 2023, Miller Theater); Vir Das: Mind Fool Tour (January 20, 2024, Miller Theater); and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis  Max Roach Centennial Celebration (January 21, 2024, Verizon Hall).
